Meadville 13 Oil City 1 at Oil City

Meadville improved its overall record to 6 wins and 1 loss on Monday night with a win over Oil City. Although the score was lop sided, the game demonstrated the Lady Dogs still need refinement on the Pitch. It was wonderful to see Alayna ZieZiula and Tatiana Furry score their first goals of the season, but it was frustrating to see so many opportunities squandered. It's not our wish to run up scores, but when it's time to finish we need to do so. Otherwise, when it comes to a big moment against McDowell or Villa, we will squander opportunity. Our passing was very similar, we would make some nice combinations, but then miss some easy passes. It was nice to see Karalyn Adams get 5, and Elizabeth 2, but Oil City gave us a black eye when after failing to score, they hit a long ball and we made some defensive errors, and Lauren Wolmer made us pay. It showed Oil City had some fight left. Yet, the ball shouldn't have gotten so deep into our end. This yo you soccer play wont cut it on Wednesday, as the Lady Dogs travel to Millcreek to face the McDowell Lady Trojans.
